Foldable Phone Aspect Ratios & Screen Resolutions
A foldable phone has two screens with two different shapes. The cover screen is a tall, narrow phone; the inner screen opens into something closer to a square. Understanding those two ratios is what lets you size a wallpaper or a UI layout so it survives the fold. This hub collects the ratios and resolutions of the current foldables and links to a dedicated page for each.
Why foldables have two aspect ratios
A book-style foldable is two rectangles joined by a hinge. Closed, it presents a tall, narrow cover screen; opened, it presents a wide inner screen. The two shapes serve different jobs, so they almost never share a ratio. A layout that fits one does not automatically fit the other.
This is the practical consequence of the ratio, and it is why the numbers matter. When you prepare a wallpaper or a full-bleed image for a foldable, you are really preparing it for two different aspect ratios at once, and the way the device handles that gap is what these pages explain.
How the ratio is calculated
The aspect ratio is the width divided by the height, reduced to the smallest whole numbers. Because manufacturers publish panel sizes as two numbers without always stating which is the width, the safest reading is the longer edge over the shorter one — a single unambiguous value whichever way round the panel is held. For a published 1878 × 2670 inner display the longer-over-shorter value is 1.4217, and the pair reduces to 313:445.
A published resolution that does not divide evenly is not a mistake in the spec sheet; it is simply what a panel with that exact pixel grid produces. The device pages below state the exact reduction alongside the rounded label so both are visible, rather than quietly rounding something untidy into something tidy.

Foldable Phone Aspect Ratios & Screen Resolutions FAQ
Do the inner and outer screens of a foldable share a ratio?
Rarely, and never exactly. The cover screen is usually a tall phone ratio, while the inner screen is wide and squarer. Even when a maker says the two match — as Apple does for the iPhone Duo — the published resolutions work out a couple of percent apart.
What ratio should a wallpaper be?
It depends which screen it is for, because a wallpaper is prepared per panel. The dedicated page for each phone lists the inner and outer resolutions so you can size a wallpaper that is not stretched or cropped.
Are these pages phone reviews?
No. They cover screen dimensions, aspect ratios and wallpaper sizing only. There is no performance, camera or price content here.
